The Just Wear It project grew from an idea to let jeans tell us their own stories, so we can understand how a worn garment looks after several years of use. The appearance of these jeans depends on the person who used them, so around the year 2005 the company started to give raw garments to people involved in jobs with high physical efforts and certain sports, those who have to move a lot, and work with heavy machinery, like skaters, painters or mechanics; and after 1 or 2 years they returned them. These garments are an excellent inspiration tool, they help us to develop new whiskers, chevrons and hand sand patterns, destruction shapes, patch and repair details, among others.
In addition to this project, we also buy garments at second hand stores around the world, we have jeans from vintage markets in Amsterdam, Barcelona, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, among others.
Every jean is a different world and only through the years you get to see the whole story. At all times C.I. Jeans is searching for new information to get the best product, to make our techniques more efficient and to get authentic vintage garments every time.
El Proyecto Just wear it nació de una idea de dejar el denim contarnos sus propias historias, pues de este modo podíamos entender mejor cómo se ve y se desgasta el denim luego de algunos años de uso. La apariencia del denim cambia según las personas que lo usan, entonces desde el año 2005 CI JEANS comenzó a darle prendas crudas a personas que estaban involucradas en trabajos que requerían mucho movimiento, esfuerzo físico o deportes, personas que se mueven mucho durante sus jornadas de trabajo o que operan maquinaria pesada, como skaters, pintores, mecánicos trabajadores de finca, recolectores de café, entre otros con la promesa de regresarlas pasados los dos o tres años. Estas prendas son una excelente fuente de inspiración, nos ayudan a desarrollar nuevos patrones de whiskers, chevrons, usados, rotos y parches y recocidos.
Adicionalmente, también compramos prendas en tiendas de segunda
mano (vintage) alrededor del mundo, tenemos jeans de mercados vintage de Ámsterdam,
Barcelona, Los Ángeles, San Francisco, New York, Milán, entre otros.
Cada jean es un mundo nuevo, y sólo con los años podemos ver toda
su historia, CI JEANS está constantemente en búsqueda de nueva información para
lograr el mejor producto, hacer nuestras técnicas más eficientes y lograr esos
looks auténticos que amamos en el denim.
